Haha, I'm under 40, but I love older stuff.

'Push to start' to me means the battery's flat and you need to bump start the car!
In relation to what you mean, I tend to buy 10-15 year old cars at the bottom of their depreciation cycle, so more electronics to go wrong is not a good thing!
In the 20th century I always bought small simple French cars but I don't trust their electronics so now it's small simple Japanese.

You need a "meh" button. No strong opinions either way.

Years ago I did it daily for a while when I was too poor to afford a new battery - fortunately I lived on a hill.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with automatic cars.

    • Oh sorry if my question was not clear what I was meaning but what I mean is those cars that have a button in the car you press to start the car. It means you put your key fob down, the car has to pick up the remote singnal form your key fob which then activates the button so you can press it, then and let go of the button and then the car controls how long it cranks for.

The first time I saw a commercial for a new car with the button, I was just like, wtf?!?! I don't like the idea at all. I'm more of a rusty old junk type of girl.

My car doesn't even have central locking, so the idea of pushing a button instead of turning a key to start the car doesn't appeal to me at all.
