If someone kills due to mental illness, it should not be considered a criminal matter, rather it should be considered a very serious medical matter. If we adjust our societal views in this direction, it is my thinking that much needless killing can be averted because we will be better able to detect and intervene (resolve) such behaviours before it escalates to this level.
Please specify what else.
Murders I have noticed can be caused by many things. Sometimes victims of bullying snap and sometimes, it was evident that the person needed help, but help was never given. I feel if things could be prevented, why then don't people try to take care of the situation instead of turning a blind eye to it?
Just yesterday, I read an Unmoderated post where they were describing torturing a toad. This is how it starts. Next they start torturing perhaps cats or dogs. Then people. Was the person who wrote this serious? Did anyone intervene? If they did intervene, how was it handled? By animal rights people and police, or by a doctor?
It's best to try to get people like that help as soon as possible. I had a friend that used to hurt his cats and his parents had put him in therapy, but it didn't seem to be helping... You're right though. It starts with weaker lifeforms and then it eventually escalates. I don't know if they were serious or not. I didn't even read the post. Hopefully someone does intervene. Hopefully, the OP was joking, but that would mean he/she has more problems than portrayed in his/her's post.
I am not in anyway condoning murders that take place because of bullying, but I can understand where they are coming from. I was badly bullied in school. As that child you feel you have no options. Teachers couldn't stop it and neither could my parents. I eventually changed schools. I never want to have children of my own because of what I went through.
It's good to know that you're okay now.
I was once bullied by a group of people for about a year or so. I don't remember feeling any aggression towards them, instead it only made me want to commit suicide. Which is what allot of victims of bullying have been doing lately.
Would you support your child if they undoubtly committed murder?
