  • No.
I could not look another Mother in the face and honestly tell her that my child should be exempt from the consequences of their actions, because I know that if I was at the reverse end of the stick and it was my child that was murdered, I would want justice. I could not knowingly deprive another family of justice, even if it is my child.

If there is one thing that I want my children to be taught, if I could only choose one lesson that would go through to them in my 18 years of parenting, it is taking responsibility for your actions. Stepping up and saying "Yeah. It was me, I fucked up. I made the decision, I made the call. I made the wrong call.". I'd be very saddened and very tempted to try to help my child, but in the end, my support would be minimal. My child is no more important than the person that they killed.
