You dropped a box made out of beef jerky into a 15 foot deep lake swarming with Piranhas. The box contains documents with everything you own in your name, and if you don't retrieve it within 15 minutes, the Piranhas will devour the whole box and its contents, and you'll lose everything. If you choose to attempt retrieval of that box, you'll find that it's 50 feet away, and the moment you touch that box, the Piranhas which are about 100 feet away, will start chasing after you. What would you do?

    Does "everything I have" include friends and family? If it does, then only a looser with no life who lives in a box in a cave on an abandoned island would choose to lose all oh their belongings. Just saying.

    Well since piranhas don't typically attack humans or any large animals, I'd go for it I guess. Of course you can always go down to the DMV and the County Clerk and get new titles for your stuff. Seems pretty inconsequential either way....

    Risk my life of course, if there was a possibility for me to successfully get my stuff back and live.

    However, in such a situation with piranhas around me, I would just let my belongings be devoured and safely leave the place.
