    The first option was an interesting way to think about things.

    However, I will NEVER have children, for a number of reasons.

        1. Raising children generally/ideally involves being in an intimate relationship with another person. I am unwilling to do this.

        2. I would never naturally bear children, because my genes carry traits that are extremely undesirable, including several mental disorders, and heart issues.

        3. I could not handle that kind of responsibility.

        4. I am not good with kids. I would be a terrible father.

        5. I'll probably be dead soon. My kids would grow up with no father.

        There are probably more, but I cannot think of them right now.

          I applaud that you are honest with yourself...as more people should aspire to do the same before they procreate...

          Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope you are wrong about being dead soon. Based on your comments in threads you seem to have a lot to contribute to help people.

              You can change all that. A good book is "As a man thinketh". It helped me when I felt like you do.
