I have a lifelong mental illness from my experiences as a soldier in Iraq. I get a full disability pension for it the rest of my life, which means I never have to work again. But, do not think you know what my answer is. A mental disease is a living hell, or at least it is for many people. So I would rather have a lifelong physical disease.
There are limits however. Like if I had to choose between being a quadripaleegic and depressed, I would choose depressed, because that kind of physical disease will probably make me depressed anyway. But between something like diabetes and severe depression, I would choose diabetes.
Would you rather have a physical disease or a mental disease?
