Would you rather be the smartest or funniest person in the room & why?

Fortunately, the smartest is also often the funniest. The two traits go together.

If I were the smartest person in the room I would probably still be hella funny as long I'm neurotypical.

How about clever instead.

Everyone will look to you for answers if you're seen as the smartest, thus making them lazy thinkers when around you. If you're the funniest, you're just the clown everyone wants a laugh from, meaning that being seen as serious will be a challenge.

Ingenuity isn't expected or predicted, and comes as a nice surprise that can be either intelligent and funny or stupid, but so obvious.

Funniest, beibg with people with less intelligence than me annoys the shit out of me and I'm an average level person for that.

I'd rather be the one nobody notices, so nobody will connect me to the spiked punch, keyed doors, flat tires or coat room with dozens of jacket pockets filled with pudding.

Smartest:
I don't care if people call me a nerd or geek it's a good thing.

funniest because NO ONE is impressed with intelligence. People are a bunch of dumb asses so if someone IS smart, they are not going to be real popular.

Smartest. I could be more assured of my own merits if I were the smartest, but if I were the funniest, I'd seek more validation from others.

I'm the most ambitious in most environmemts. Does it count?
