  • There isn't much difference between an anorexic and an obese person because they both share these common problems:
    -Prone to depression and anxiety
    -Low self esteem
    -Discriminated against
    -Poor body image
    Are a couple examples.. The list goes on.

    • You misunderstand me. You give a selection of symptoms caused by social pressure (awful ones as well, but not what I'm referring too). Anorexia has hallucinations and such like, which are not caused by social pressures.

        • I can see what you mean, but social factors isn't what I was meaning. I should really have specified that. It's my fault for not being specific.

          • Also, depression and low self esteem aren't social factors, they're psychological. But I'll drop it now. :)

            • They come directly from social factors though. That was my point, admitadly a pedantic one. But hey, I'll drop it as well. We drifted too far into semantics long ago!
