There isn't much difference between an anorexic and an obese person because they both share these common problems:
-Prone to depression and anxiety
-Low self esteem
-Discriminated against
-Poor body image
Are a couple examples.. The list goes on.
You misunderstand me. You give a selection of symptoms caused by social pressure (awful ones as well, but not what I'm referring too). Anorexia has hallucinations and such like, which are not caused by social pressures.
They come directly from social factors though. That was my point, admitadly a pedantic one. But hey, I'll drop it as well. We drifted too far into semantics long ago!
Would you rather be severely anorexic or morbidly obese?

Then show me the evidence. If you can, I'll admit I'm wrong, and happily.

The examples I provided are social psychology which still falls under the category of psychological problems

I can see what you mean, but social factors isn't what I was meaning. I should really have specified that. It's my fault for not being specific.

Also, depression and low self esteem aren't social factors, they're psychological. But I'll drop it now. :)
