  • What you have described is a fairly tried and true view of marriage that blends what it takes to sustain it: romantic love, desire for children/family, economic security, long term companionship and friendship, commitment, peaceful co-habitation. All of these may not be present or possible, or may wax and wane, but to think any one of these dimensions alone is enough is folly. I especially agree that romantic love alone is not enough - but it is one of the more critical ingredients.

    • Damn, id marry you. Obviously we won't have children of OUR own, but ill help raise your kids and support your household. Maybe even down the line we could swap girlfriends every once in awhile and be the new typical american family. (reality TV, I'm talking to you here)

You are the husband i have been looking for and i am the husband you are looking for.
