I have a record for assaulting a police officer. He was a plain clothes officer and flashed his ID but I didn't think it was legit. So I reached out to have a look at it and he and his fellow officer turned me upside down and I was charged. I am a non violent person and an excellent employee.
That said if I was hiring a would probably throw away my application.
