Would you have an abortion/want your lady to have one?

This happened to me when I was 20 but not financially stable. I feel like a coward for not letting her keep it. If I could go back in time, I would change what I made her do. If she is pregnant, be a man and take care of your responsibility. Do not be a coward how I was. You may regret it.

I would never "Want to" Per se. But if I got a girl pregnant, and I didn't feel I was financially stable enough to care for a child then yes I feel my hand would be forced.

Yes I understand there is the option of adoption, but there are already faaar to many children up for adoption as is.

Some say it's unfair to kill a fetus. Well I think it may be even more unfair to bring a child into the world with no one to truly love him/her (unless that child was fortunate enough to be adopted)

Fortunately I'm careful, and I don't foresee this being an issue for me.

Probably yes. I'm not going to lie.

I don't find the idea of abortion to be "evil" unlike some of the commenters here. I say, let the couple/person decide and do whatever the heck they want. Also, just to clear things up, I don't find abortion to be "morally" bad/unjust. A majority of abortions take place when the FETUS is in the first to second-ish trimester. It's a fetus not a fully developed baby. Also, a bunch of commenters mentioned the "giving the child up to an adoption agency bullshit" option. In all honesty, it's the woman's body and as such, she has the right to abort/keep the baby.

Find a home for my child, and give it up to a stable loving family.

I agree it's unfair to the fetus to get an abortion, but since when is life fair? Plus it would also be unfair to the kid to have to grow up in a shitty environment. I don't see why not when medical science gives you the option. If people could choose when they got pregnant (Not in abortion/ trying to get pregnant way) then the world would likely have alot less messed up people

I don't believe in abortion however if I was in this situation I would want the abortion to be honest, but if my lady wanted to keep it I would stick by her and help her raise our child like any respectable man would.

I would abort it under any circumstances and by any means necessary. I also agree that a man should have the financial abortion option. No one, man or woman, should be forced to care for a kid they didn't want.

Hell yeah. I knock women up all the time just so they can have abortions. I am not a bad person I just like brunch. I make them buy me brunch afterward.

No. This is why I think financial abortion should be allowed. If the female wants to keep the child, he has to. If she wants to take responsibility for a mistake, then he has to.
Asking the guy's opinion on this is actually pretty pointless. If she doesn't want to, he doesn't get to. If she wants to, he has to.

I think a woman should have a right to have a child or not after falling pregnant, as long as the man gets to choose his future as well.

I honestly could do it. I'm a female. But I would also consider my boyfriend's opinion. I worry about this happening, because I'm afraid of the birth process and taking care of a baby, while my boyfriend is against the idea of abortion. I hope I never have to face this decision.

Honey, have you ever heard of adoption?! There are so many wonderful agencies out there! They will help you throughout your pregnancy with doctor appointments, some even house you! They help you choose the family if you want to stay in your child's life and just aren't able to at the moment. They give you counseling (yes, believe it or not, even if you go through the entire 10 months knowing that you will be giving this baby away, you will more than likely still be horribly depressed. After all, s/he did grow inside you, was literally attached to you.) But if you honestly don't think you can raise a child, please, for the love of all that is good, do not kill it! I was adopted at 7 months old. I hate to think that some stupid cunt could just have easily killed me, as given me this great life I have now by giving me a second chance with a new family.

I think that if the man got his woman pregnant, then he's got himself to blame for not using protection. But it's not just his fault, it's the woman's fault too. But, I hate guys who just jump their pregnant girlfriends like cowards. Be a man - and take responsability. If you get a woman pregnant, than you should keep the baby. You got someone pregnant, you just have to face the concequences of that action.

Even in hypothetical land, I don't think this would ever happen to me.

But if I'm not financially stable, I would definitely get the abortion (As long as it's in the first trimester).

I honestly cannot picture myself in a situation like this, even hypothetically. I'll try though... ... ... Hmm... Okay, I think I'd ask the guy I had sex with his opinions and take that into account first, though my initial reaction will probably be yes for the abortion.

I honestly would not keep it. With a lack of financial funds of both me and my partner, my crappy health, and my family's fucked up genetics, it wouldn't seem fair to anyone if I keep it.

This exact situation has happened to me, she kept it and I wanted her to have an abortion. But they're gone now so it's all good.

?? I'd have to actually be there, been in this spot before and done both options so it really depends ?? different times and people called for different solutions. money was never a factor, I'll say that. It was more the relationship and opportunity/lifestyle.
