Although androids do have unique appearances and traits, the project to allow female androids to reproduce with a human's sperm by extracting data from it and combining it with the android's own traits was blocked on religious grounds, with the Vatican releasing a statement saying any result from something like that would be an abomination. The androids are capable of being in a monogamous relationship anyway and, like humans, don't necessarily need a marriage to confirm that they care for each other.

Though marriage these days are just for reproducing like it used to be. There are financial advantages to being married in todays world which is where my question was aiming at.
Also, I'm sure androids are susceptible to such violence towards them but would it be as dire as if it were human? I suppose each country would have it's own laws prohibiting such crimes towards androids. I am just not sure if finding a way to deactivate such a machine would mean a more definite action by courts.
