I always hear people say there's no such thing as normal but if no one is normal then not being normal has become normal so most people must be normal, anyway I'm over-analyzing.

I don't feel normal, I used to but now I'm questioning myself and the world around me, sometimes I'm confident other times I'm so worried about being seen as anxious I end up making an idiot of myself, thing is we only know our own minds, we can't reach into someone's mind and grasp the fears and insecurities they have as I'm sure do many others.

I once knew someone who had a presence about him of unrivaled confidence, but without being cocky, something about his vocal mannerisms and body language made him a leader and very persuasive in his profession and personal life.

Turn out it was an act, plus he was bordering on being an alcoholic due to his anxiety disorder and if there was one person I've met who I'd least expect to have an anxiety disorder it'd be him.

That's what made me realise the point in the second paragraph, I have been so wrapped up in my own mind I failed to think of just how many others have problems that we don't get to see. So. Yeah. I'd say I was normal, a little on the anxious side but normal

    Yes.

    I consider myself normal.

I have some strange habits, some possibly unique behaviour, some odd thoughts and insecurities, I'm sometimes happy, sometimes sad, I'm averagely clever etc. etc. In this regard, I'm pretty normal.

As are most of you, I bet. Even though a lot of people seem to believe themselves far more unique and special than they actually are.

Absolutely not. I've been a bohemian almost all of my adult life and pretty different as far back as grade school. I guess it's the little things, like never having lived in a dwelling ashore, or the fact that I've never worked in an office, a fast food place or for a large company since 22, as well. I've called most of my employers by their first name and my work place has been their play or vacation place.
But I've been lucky and it's worked out well for me.

Someone should process all the posts on this website and make a graph to prove normalcy is an illusion.

    No I am not normal.
How do we know what normal is anyway? Can you define normal? We are alllll special in our own way.

If we are ALL special, does that not make special 'normal', and therefore make us all normal?

If we are all different, and different is normal, then we are all normal?

Then we are all 'normal' in different ways, so how can we class that as normal? When normal is different to everyone.

            Boom.

If it's normal to be different, and everybody is different, then everybody is normal.

Everybody being normal in different ways is a contradiction. Everybody being different in a normal way isn't.

Who wants to be normal? That's boring... Embrace individuality and grab it with both hands! Take pride in being unique :)

I have noooo clue... I maybe, maybe not. But I'm me and there's no one else that can be me. Just like no one else can be any of you guys. We're all special, weird, unique, different, interesting etc. so I say the same thing: what is normal?
