  • The internet is a tool, just like a hammer, screwdriver, cars even, etc, all items that were use to struck and kill other living beings when their purpose were meant to assist us. It's not that the internet has corrupted society, we as a species have always been corrupt. Moving backward will not solve anything, but limit us without the money, status, and resources to progress; and with the knowledge we know now, people will rebel and find someway bypass anything the government setup.

Sorry man, I'm pro-internet and all the complicated bullshit.

    • I understand. The wrong people have used the internet in the wrong ways, and if it wasn't the internet, it would've been something else. Guns were supposed to be manufacturered for hunting and protecting yourself and loved ones, but we already know how the wrong people have used them.

If the internet did shut down, there would likely be those people who would set up some kind of workaround illegal internet system, or black market internet or whatever they'd want to call it. It's like during prohibition, alcohol officially became illegal and what happened? There were plenty of people who then decided to bootleg alcohol and keep it coming under the table. Anything that has had a major influence on people and society whether it's alcohol or the internet, it's then impossible to completely stop it whether it was 100 years ago or now.
