depends heavily on where you work, but to the gov, and in a factory or serving clients it's weird! and not very believable
i work in a desining company and we can work barefoot in the areas where no client will see.
it's fine, i think most companies should allow some freedom, because hell! it's 8 hours a day you work, and most people expend more than this in the company, so people should feel confortable!!!
everybody need to have limit although...
At my job, you get fired if you don't wear steel toed boots. (I work at a metal finishing plant)
Factories and Gov jobs wouldn't let you work barefoot , surely , they're in court as soon as you get hurt.well unless your in India or somewhere.
If OSHA found out, the company you worked at could be horribly fined. If your boss finds out, you may be fired (at least threatened!).
Not to mention all those gross parasites you get from walking around without shoes. Totally not worth it. Ever hear of ring worm? Eww.
