IMHO it's normal. I'll see some cute muslim chick and wonder what they look like with their hijab off. I was teaching this one muslim lady to drive (under the table side job) and she was drop dead gorgeous but I was very respectful. Besides she was married and two kids but we did have conversations about the Islam faith. I asked her if she would make her daughter wear a hijab and she said she would allow her to make up her own mind once she became of age since in our society western girls don't wear them. I thought that was pretty cool of her.
