Yeah, that is a good point - guys do get 'trapped' with that one (not the word I'm looking for, a bit contentious potentially, but best I can come up with right this second), which really is more unfair on the child than anything, but that's another matter.
I'm kinda stuck on that one, cos I agree a man should have a choice whether or not he wants to be a father - but then I feel the child needs to have a father where possible (to me, two parents in a loving relationship is the ideal - obviously not always the reality. Of course a father forced into parenthood would potentially be resentful of the situation/child, so that's hardly an ideal situation...in which case, one could argue that no father would be better...)

I also agree, that's one of the points I make on the whole subject. Why would a female want to have a child with someone that doesn't want their child? What effect would that have on the child knowing that they weren't wanted? Females don't get enough wrap for bringing children into this world when they aren't in a sustainable family.
