While i think they're wrong and obviously not speaking from a modern country surely you can see where they're coming from. While things have changed alot in the last 50 odd years, in modern first world countries, you only have to look at daytime t.v. shows to see young(trash) women who believe it's fine (or right/normal) for their man to provide for them AND pay for whatever unecessary things they need above and beyond food and shelter. And we all know there are still plenty of these women around even if we arent (thankfully) in contact with them. And , hand on heart, that situation in reverse is so rare that you could say it doesn't exist.

Very true. I see these 'men' spending their wifes salary. Very often just with the women so they don't have to work.
They always gonna think they got it harder becaue the kids but atleast you dont have to be all day there for hours. God forbid you gotta make money. Always.
I've been paying for all my own shit starting a week after I graduated high school. This is a really outdated thought process.
It kinda does, it's just that some people have been conned into thinking that they have to grow and tend the trees for someone else and accept a tiny fraction of the fruit graciously as payment. I'm a woman and I grow my own money trees and I keep all the money.
