Women and flexible hands

Is it me, or do more women have super flexible hands and fingers? Most women I've dated in the past had stupidly flexible fingers and could raise their thumb tips up 90 degrees...
My girlfriend has very flexible hands and fingers too.

I don't know any men that have flexible fingers, mine aren't... None of my guy friends have flexible hands.

But most of the girls seem to have them...

Am I talking sense here, or it just a coincidence?

It's a well known fact that women are better at complicated dexterous hand stuff. Jobs involving the hands

Why do you think weaving and sewing have been a traditionally feminine task. Guys can do it but it takes smaller hands and more fine coordination to do so.

Something tells me that it's probably in this species best intrest that the males have more hardened and less flexible hands for fighting vs a more dexterous hands for fine crafts (weaving and sewing) for females.

Also I've noticed that strong and rough hands are seen as an attractive quality in males as it shows that we can provide vs females who have soft hands show that they have a more gentle approach to everyday tasks/ are better off than those who have rough hands.

Guess it makes sense... Women do seem to be better at manipulating small objects better and their hands feel much softer and more delicate.

I've had my girlfriend help me with refitting the small screws on my laptop after de-dusting it.

I can grab the tiny screws, but it's more difficult for me, than it is for her.

Genuinely, this was something I never really noticed until I thought about it.

Women are just more physically flexible overall.

Sounds like coincidence to me. It might be a fact but I'm not 100% sure on this. I myself am extremely flexible whereas both the men and women in my circle are not. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is gymnastics. Men's apparatus generally require more strength than flexibility... just an uneducated guess.

It makes sense evolutionary. Dexterity also has a drawback of slightly more fragile bones and joints. Movement is important but so Is being able to take a punch or two as well as dish it out. Human hands are in fact designed to be good at punching so much so out faces were partially adapted to being able to take said punch.

I never knew how to punch properly until one of my bfs laughed at my fake-punching his arm with my knuckles instead of all 4 proximal phalanges.

If I added that, most people would probably click it, cause it's the easiest answer XD

It's something funny I noticed recently and it brought me here.
