Woman who did my nails at nail salon made me bleed?

Before we started, I told her kindly to not cut my nails because they're too far down already and the skin is sensitive.

What does she do? Starts to cut my nails. I say please no, just file them on top no cutting or filing at the tip of my nails. She says she has to, makes the first cut on my thumb nail, it hurts a lot but doesn't bleed. Second nail I literally say please stop and she cuts it and there's blood gushing out because she cut my skin off. She didn't even apologize and pressed a paper towel against it, applied some pressure and then wrapped it around and said I will do others lightly. I said no, she finally said okay.

Then she files them down so much that another finger starts bleeding next to the nail bed. She apologizes for that one, wraps a paper towel around it then only files the top of the nail. At this point I get up and go to the manager and show her and the manager says nothing. She just stands there blank faced.. So I ask to see another technician and she says they are all busy the rest of the day.

I need my nails done because it's for an important event so I just go back to the same woman, do the sign of the cross in my head and let her finish. The paint looked good in the end but two nails now have blood scabs at the top and are too sensitive to even use. No apology, acted like it was normal

No, you shouldn't be bleeding after a salon visit.
I have been going to nail salons for years and never had that happen.

Find another manicurist... One who cares about their clients.

There are rare situations with deformed nails that may require inducing an injury once to help the nail reform properly. Those are rare and any competent manicurist will have a discussion with you up front about the issue with the nail and their recommendation - and allow you to decide to proceed or not.

Whenever I go to the dentist, I leave with severe anal bleeding. Do your own nails if you don't want other people damaging your body.

That sounds like a god awful service. I'm surprised they didn't offer to comp you. I would leave a bad review for sure.

Simple solution, let your nails grow. Why the fuck are they so short to start with? Are you one of those disgusting people who bites their nails? If so you deserve everything that happened to you

    • Lol, no. I actually never bite my nails, they just break extremely easily and I have to work with my hands a lot at work so they get down to the skin.

Fare enough my apologies for that assumption. I would suggest using hardener to strengthen your nails to enable them to grow
