Do not joke about suicide. Although I seem to have the same attitude as you about winter: makes me want to commit suicide but I never actually would. Although I have been to a psychiatrist about it, and they say it is seasonal depression. I get it in the winter and the summer, during the extremes. I would say see a mental doctor about it.
Winter makes me suicidal because I am trapped.
