Winter is coming. what do you like to eat or cook in the winter?

I like posole. Making it tomorrow. Red posole particularly. Whats your winter food?

  • Never heard of posole so I looked it up... it looks delicious. Gonna have to make that sometime.

    Can't go wrong with soups and stews but I love casseroles and steak and burgers and all that good stuff too.

    • If you like hot and flavorful food then posole is for you. Of course you can always tone down the heat if you like.

  • It never gets cold where I live now, but when I lived in the UK I would make a hearty beef stew on a cold day. A well made beef stew is fucking heaven.

  • For some reason, my mushroom risotto flavoured with a little dried porcini and chicken breasts with a simple butter and lemon sauce has become a traditional winter meal in our house.

    We don't really eat that much differently in the winter, though. Slightly fewer salads is the only major change.
