    I'll be celebrating in a minor way. I'll be alone and I've already opened all my presents to myself, but I'll be cooking a version of Christmas dinner and I have Christmas pudding and brandy sauce.

    We're supposed to have a kind of party in the Member Chat so I'll bob in there at some point.

    As for 2013, hoping for good things. 2012 was the worst year of my life and I'll be glad for it to be behind me. I know the actualities of the real world don't play ball with the human-invented calendar but I need a personal watershed and New Years' is it. Back into work on the 2nd so back to reality (a reality I enjoy, though).

      Do you mind being alone at Christmas? There was a slight chance I may have been on my own but plans changed so I'm not now but I didn't actually mind if I was going to be, quite like time to myself now and then.

        Nah, I don't mind being alone at Christmas. Certain things are a bit painful, like when you go out for a walk and see everyone having a big Christmas through the windows in their houses (plus the programmes on TV like to make you feel like a freak for not celebrating with loads of people). But if you ignore what everyone else is doing and focus on yourself, it's not so bad. It's really just like any other day for me. Until I looked at the calendar to see what date it is, I didn't even know when Christmas was. I thought it was three days away. Didn't realise it's Christmas Eve tomorrow!
