Will my son be abnormally tall?

Since hes been 3-4 my son has been on the tall side. Hes 12 now and 5" 11. Im worried hes growing too rapidly but his doctors dont say its abnormal...hes on the 99th percentile for height.
Im 5" 5 and his dad is 6" 2 but some people in his family are 6" 4. Is his height normal?

Tall men generally have more advantages in life. Women are more attracted to them for the most part, and they are more likely to succeed in business. They can excel at many sports shorter men cannot. The population of first world countries are growing taller with every subsequent generation, so he will be far from abnormal. If anything you should be greatful for his height, it will give him many advantages.

I think I was the exact same height at that age. No, he won't be abnormally tall.

From your description he'll be around 6'4" to 6'6" which is tall but not overly so. There are a lot of basketball players way taller than that.

Good for him, there's nothing whatsoever wrong with being tall!

Will probably grow to his Dad's height, which is tall but not like abnormally tall.

For boys, growth slows down not long after the onset of puberty anyway (between ages 13-15). I started puberty very early and stopped growing at 12 (and thanks to that I'm now pretty short)
