I tried to ask this in yahoo and they said I will get arrested.
I got a 25$ parking ticket in another city (about 40 miles away) I don't pay insurance on the car (it's not my car but I'm the one who drives it) and I have no credit cards. So what's the worst that will happen
Honestly if the owner doesn't contact me about a fine for a car they don't drive, that's cool too, they have way more money than I anyway I buy stuff for them in fact the other day bout a 25 dollar case of beer and never got any so I guess we'd be even
or else they will skip the payment as well since they already have like 3 fines never paid from another state about 5yrs ago and nothing happened except collection agencies ringing to a mostly dead phone #
I wrote a check for gas coming back from a road trip for about that much. I had lost my debit card and I was desperate for gas. The check cleared and disappeared for forever and I wasn't keeping tabs on my account. I spent the money thinking that it went through (because I didn't see the amount debit at all) and apparently it bounced. The city it bounced in is about 5 hours away from where I live and I got pulled over for something stupid (they probably just ran my plates and made up an excuse) and I was only like 30 mins outside of where I live. I went to jail for a day and half. So yes! lol
You can ignore it but it will go up in price and eventually be more than $25... I'm pretty certain nothing will happen to you, but the owner may have some issues.... It isn't wise to owe the government money... But pretty sure I myself owe plenty of money to several different counties in different states... Most they've done thus far is mail me to tell me about it, and ask me to pay it. Ignore ignore ignore!!
