Weight loss is a very simple equation. If you burn more calories than you eat then you will definitely lose weight. People get confused because of all the other factors that come into play, eg processed foods being high in calories but not satisfying hunger, certain foods causing blood sugar spikes and cravings, fast food addictions, hidden calories in processed food, poor diet causing low mood and therefore low energy so not wanting to exercise and reaching for comfort foods etc...
But at the end of it all the equation will still remain the same - burn more calories than you eat, and you will lose weight.
