The only lame on here is you. Your dad is being a good dad. He shows that he cares about you and he wants to give you boots in your confidence. Who wouldn't want a father or mother like that? I am not a very emotional person especially when it comes to family members, but compared to the kind of shit that I've had to deal with from my family, I would take a father like that any day.
