Try it on yourself? Look in the mirror and pose. Or if it's a gift for a friend it's just easier to get them gift cards for that store then they can pick what they want.

At the store I work at, no. Often times, we are too busy. If we are working sales floor, our main goal is to try to get everything finished before close or before we go home. Also, we often have other people asking us questions, and it would be difficult to help them out while tending to one and try to finish our work on time.

I'm not sure what store you're talking about, and I guess it depends on the size, but the one I work as is fairly small and we get tons of people on weekends. Your best bet is to go up and ask. The worse they can do to you is tell you no.

If you have the money to shop in stores that cater to the rich and famous, the yes, it can be done. But if you're shopping at K-mart and Wallyworld, there probably isn't an employee in the store you'd want to model clothes for you, anyway.

Well I work at a clothing shop. Not really a job I was enthused about but yes. I am a stock boy but I often have to go on floor and stock the shelves. This means people see me and start asking me for help. I try my best to help them even though I don't work on the floor and its not my duty to help people on floor. This sounds like it might possibly get the workers in trouble since the boss might think they were goofing off. They might try to help you with this but it sounds like it would be an inconvenience. They might have the saying "The customer is always right" but don't harass the help because of it.

If a store allows this, please don't be that poor guy/girl's pain in the *ss. I know they don't look busy folding clothes, but they really are, and when they aren't, they need the breather. Also, they will absolutely complain about you to their coworkers.
