As a woman and a wife, I can definitively declare your wife an asshole.
No one should call you "less of a man" for enjoying harmless hobbies or wanting some time to yourself. That borders on emotional abuse, and there's no call for it in a loving relationship.
Cut that umbilical cord; you're her husband, not her infant son, and you don't need to be attached to her at all times. Go retrieve your balls -- bowling balls, that is -- and go out with some friends you haven't seen in a while. Remind her that she didn't marry you because you were a wimp who did everything she said, and you're not going to turn into one now.
She'll either respect you for it or she'll leave you, but either way, you'll be happier than you sound right now. Ugh, she sounds awful. :/
