Some organizations have specific and rigid dress codes and many have no choice but to conform to it. The organization won't change that for the complain of a single (or even a few employees), there must be a united opinion against it. I agree dress codes are stupid, its your productivity that matters. But unless majority of your coworkers have the same opinion as you, there is not much you can do to change the norms of your organization.
