The nation with more power to go to wars will rape more, because they will have more access to vulnerable women. This is true especially if the nations they're attacking are way weaker than they are. The logic is that, given the opportunity and the appropriate lack of law enforcement, men of any nationality will do this stuff.
History proves thats not the case. Often times the most powerful armies did not rape when they conquered. The war of 1812 the british did not rape American women. The Americans and British did not commit mass rapes in WW2. However the Russians did in WW2 and they are now. Its just a fact.
Maybe the winner side of the war is just better at covering up their rape cases so they can appear more heroic? History is written by the winners. And the US army committed a lot of rapes in Vietnam
The Allies won, Russia was part of the Allies. I'm just saying that's a lot behind historical "facts". Often the accuser side is just as bad as the accused.
Yes I dont think thr US is any more innocent than Russia thats for sure. But from what I have seen it seems theres less rapes from US troops than Russians and Ukrainians.
Maybe because you're getting information mainly from American sources? Of course I can't say for sure which military rapes more, but American media is infamously manipulative, especially in times of war. They take any country and then make their country look good in comparison. But when you listen to the stories of people who had their countries invaded by the US, it's way different. At least we can agree that no matter the place, no one should ever had to go through rape ever.
