why people believe there is tomorrow?

  • Interesting question. As a species, we are pretty unique in that we plan for a future. There is an instinct to survive and reproduce, but humans plan far more ahead in time. Time is just a way to record events and be able to predict them. We can think about tomorrow on a deeper level. Most animals only think as deeply as where their next meal may come from.

It is all in our head. This idea that tomorrow will happen. It almost always does. So we expect it to. It is a mutually agreed upon concept. Does it exist? Depends on context.

    • Animals can also plans to a certains extend, like squirrels gathering food for the winter.
But we are currently the only known species than can plan ahead for a specific event at a specific time.

      • True, but it is more of an instinctual kind of gathering. And I do believe animals are far wiser wiser than what we give them credit for. They just don't communicate in a way we completely understand. I am sure they think we are pretty dumb at times.

        • They don't "think" like humans do. They react. Animals don't feel shame of hatred. They are just the pure incarnation of nature itself.

          • Does that mean you think humans are impure?

            • Not that but they aren't pure incarnation of nature because they are spoiled by their ego.

              • Why spoil and not enhance? I think egos are annoying, but I think some animals have their own version of an ego. Like pack animals who need an alpha. Can that not be viewed as an expression of ego? It is their nature. But what of human nature is beyond nature itself?
