If you have to ask for clarification you probably shouldn't try to answer the question in the first place. It's a pretty straightforward question. Take a look at your average commercial/sitcom (in the West) and the husband character is almost always portrayed as a whining, spineless, bumbling idiot. And the woman is portrayed as very strong, assertive, and borderline masculine. I don't know how to explain it any better than this. Most of my girlfriends expect romantic, preferential treatment from men in general (i.e. being taken care of) when it benefits them but see no problem talking about wanting equal treatment at the same time.
That doesn't make sense at all. If you can explain it in a way that equal treatment AND romantic, preferential treatment can co-exist please do so, but I just can't see how both work together. It's either one or the other.
So, your best example is that some stuff on tv portrays men as bumbling idiots? There's a whole mountain of shows, movies and ads where men are heroes. The majority of sitcoms that I am familiar with are not how you describe. The bumbling husband IS most definitely a tv trope but it's far from the most prevalent one.
And what are your preferences and expectations in a relationship?
Why is western society so feminized ?

I didn't realise all those sitcoms were accurate documentaries ... my mistake
