Personally, I think it's a waste of money.. Sex is simply not important enough to blow $50 on. An alternative is to cut your penis off and you won't have to care about its dysfunction.
I'm not at the Viagra needing stage of life yet but you can bet if I make it that far I'm not going to stop having sex just because I need a bit of a boost. If you think sex isn't worth having if you need some help you're not doing it right.
People will survive the next 2000 years easily but it may not look like the civilisation we have now but then again it may, don't be such a pessimist chum you'll drive yourself to an early grave.
Target shooting is great fun and in America they even let you carry a firearm around with you all the time. It's great fun when some douchenozzle threatens you on the motorway and you signal to pull over and handle it like cavemen. Only to see them shit themselves in their hurry to get back in the car when they see you shove the magazine in and jack a round into the chamber.
But back to target shooting. The range I go to is by membership only but it's a simple enough thing to purchase one. They also sell ammo and rent handguns for $5 and you can change guns as often as you like, of course if they take a different calibre of ammo you'll need to buy a box of that kind as well so it can get a little expensive on that front. But if you have your own weapons you can buy ammo there or from Walmart (of all places!). Oh and ladies shoot for free on Wednesday so that's when we always go.
