Why is this considered a mental illness?

Ok so here is the thing.

When I was 15, I thought I was in Hell. I literally thought I died and went to Hell.

Apparently this is considered mentally ill, and I honestly don't know why that is.

Why is it considered normal to think that other people went to Hell, but thinking that YOU went to Hell is considered a mental illness?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Hell isn't real so you can't have gone there. That's why it's a mental illness.

I understand you said you felt like you were in Hell or that you went to Hell, but could you be more specific?
