You are plenty normal to think that way. I myself used to think that way, and it surpassed. We reproduce to keep the cycle going and that's that. How would you feel knowing after you die there will be no others? If we don't produce, there will be no happiness or sadness, no love no hate, no joy no fear after the last death of the last person.

And that will mean no humans. No humans means no war, pollution, animal abuse, and the whole nine yards. Sounds pretty friggin good to me.
