    • I do Ellenna. Probably not why you think tho. I don't believe humans can know any universal truths except one. Think about it. We live in a seemingly endless universe, for purposes unknown. I don't have answers at all. No one can know. Some people call it nihilism, but that's bleak.

God gives me albeit vague answers, that give me solace and makes me happy, science is just illogical random guesses by pretentious assholes with attitudes. God bless them but please.

If I am an idiot for having faith, I will do that all day long.

As a hooker, and a fallen child which no one on earth loves, including family, I guess I may be inclined towards a loving all powerful God to bring me solice. But no one has proven otherwise and if they claim they have they are just as much faith based as religious people.

      • I think, therefore I am
That’s the one truth I have found in the world

Though choosing to believe in god does not mean it is real, you just choose to believe to believe in something

    • I started to like you Ellana.

    • Faith in God has nothing to do with intelligence. Yes I believe in him. What do you ??

      • Waiiiit wait in one of you’re comments you wrote
“ I go to church and pray all the time. If that makes me a retard so be it. Heavens suck ass”
Which basically is a completely different thing than you stated there

I like arguments btw, so we can keep this long, I wanna see if you can outdo them
It’s like extreme sports for me haha

      • I totally agree that faith in any god has nothing to do with intelligence. I don't believe in any mythical gods.

        • So you dont believe in anything? That's almost as odd as believing in God.

          • Not really, anything can also mean everything or she believes in science and such

            Comment Hidden ( show )
          • I believe in many things, but none of them having anything to do with any god or gods. It's a very common (and lazy) misconception that if someone isn't religious that means they don't believe in anything.

            • Then please enlighten me. I am honestly interested. What are your beliefs as to who we are, where we are and why we are here? I ask with all sincerity.

              • I know you asked her but I wanna answer too

The purpose of multicellular organisms is to reproduce. With reproduction a species stays alive and thus, evolves. If our purpose is evolving we can only do that due to surviving
We have no reason given by others, we choose our own. We were randomly born, maybe not, but who knows. Though what you want you have to decide on your own. Be it to help animals, cook nice food or bring scientific discoveries. What was that saying? A butterfly can cause a tornado on the other side of the world?
Who are we, we are humans, where do we come from, probably apes and bacterias. You can prove that btw
Anyways I chose my own fate, even if that means ending up in a hole, I am free and will leave no one up there mess with my choices. And if nothing is real, well at least I wanna have a say in this illusion. Coincidences happen, they’re natural, but if led by someone else that’d be cruel
We don’t matter, but from our point of view we exist. You’re simply there

      • When you don’t believe in that whole evolutionary thing, you miss out a whole lot of science and philosophy, which implies, as that is way more than the Bible, that you have less knowledge. Which of course doesn’t have anything to do with intelligence, but it’s rather that you can’t use it based on those scientific things, because you only believe in one thing. Many people would doom it conservative and that is not doomed intelligent nowadays, thinking differently is.
Well of course belief is mostly coming from how you were raised and many people don’t or can’t go against that so we can’t say you are less intelligent than the average person
When that person starts going against other beliefs a lot and is not able to question anything, that either comes from a place of fear or not being able to due to mental capacities. That can either be a believer or an atheist though
Small explanation of what I think is the reason for people associating it with less intelligence

        • I don't believe in evolution. I already had the argument. I don't believe in science either.

          • Because you can prove science and you rather go for the unlogical?
No really I wanna know why you don’t believe in that but rather just a book
If you say that’s true because, how is that better than when I say that’s true because about science. You don’t even know what truth is and we will probably never know because there are too many things where you could say that’s true because

            • Science once said the smallest thing was the atom. It once said nothing can escape a black hole, it once said the earth was flat. All now negated by science itself. Science is random guesses as to the nature of the universe.

You're correct that I don't know what truth is. I don't know where we are, who or what we are or why we are here. No one does.

I don't know any better than anyone else, which is to say I know nothing. I believe in God because God is the word, and the word is true. Just because you don't understand that statement, doesn't mean you're enlightened.

Have you ever stepped foot into a Church, and admitted your place in a universe that absolutely NO ONE alive understands? It's called humility.

          • Oh, so you think your god or his son created the computer you're using to post? Really? I suppose you're living in the forest with no technology or electricity or a car or a mobile phone, right? And you find the right berry to eat when you're sick and heal yourself if you have a broken bone?

            • We were created in Gods own image. If an imbicile like me can program computers, a pretty basic thing, then I fail to understand your argument.

Straightening a bone that broke is hardly complex.

I believe in God because God has shown me grace and I find comfort in him. Unlike science which offers false hope and false answers that change all the time.

You can believe what you wish, but the word of God is universal, the word of science is ever changing nonsense guesses. It occasionally hits on a sliver of truth but that's about it.

              • Believes change all the time because new discoveries are made. Learning more is fascinating, we all think we know, but we never do
I’d rather take everything into possibility than get stuck in one thing
Only because you like god more, doesn’t mean it’s more plausible than the cold science
Maybe there is a god that made all this shit, but things being written down in such a book being that old I’d never believe in
                It’s kinda wishful thinking’s
I mean I understand where you’re coming from, the one comfort I had was my cat and now I’m obsessed with them, seriously they’re like a religion to me
So I hate the dogs, naturally because it’s the enemy. Maybe I’d like them if they had a different story together, but who knows. The important thing is to know that what you hold dearest will never be scattered by something else so you defend it til you’re bleeding. Many do that I think

Also I don’t get your first argument

Yes, straightening a bone is not complex
But try getting deeper down into biology or physics
                That is
