You were probably raised by people who were self centered. Then you get programmed to feel you're only allowed to enjoy helping others because you never experienced things for yourself. When you find how this really affects you can then start to unlock all the little things that led to this. But yes it's normal. but it's ok to realize you deserve to experience what others do which is getting what you want sometimes too. That's fair.
There's no reason why you can't learn to do both, but sometimes it's far easier to help others than ourselves, in fact it can be a way of avoiding helping ourselves
That reminds me of the old saying: Do as I say not as I do.
Or is it, don't do what I said and do something else? Do today and never do anything again, huh
People tend to be a bit harder on themselves than other people right? So you may not wanna listen to your own advice when it might be good I don't know
Except Rosie, you give yourself good advice on fiber consumption to avoid bowel movement issues. I think it's sort of like that. I know that I'm the best person to know how I can have a good dump. Your own advise to yourself is the best when it works. Rectal success is only one example.
