why is it seen as normal for ladies to wear any underwear but not guys

    For example lady gets undressed in changing room and is seen in her g string,not an eyelid is batted, guy gets undressed in changing room and is seen in g string ,gets funny looks and people whispering/laughing etc. Why? I just don't get it.
