Why is it "knock on wood"

You hope something doesn't happen to you so its "knock on wood I don't get this"

What is wood gonna do? Where did this saying come from?

Don't ya hate it when some one says "knock on wood" Then knocks there knuckles on something plastic.

          The name is just a nickname. No relation to the vehicle manufacturer. Holden makes some badass vehicles though

            Sure does! The last model holden made was 2015 model made up to 2017 wasn't it? There not making cars no more just reseller. I got a VE then after that I'll grab the last model made, then I don't know what I'm gonna do.

    The knock on wood phrase comes from foke lore of scarring fairies out of trees so they don’t fuck with what you don’t want to happen.
