Yes, unfortunately conservative media is quite intolerable as well, much like the politicians with the same labels. Perhaps the real problem is the majority of population not being able to actually think for themselves, hence the easy manipulation. In my humble opinion these non consequential idealistic views can be more easily sold through liberal media than anything conservative media could hope to convey.

When you put it that way, I do agree. The media in general likes to gift wrap ideas in the most simple manner, tie them up with a little bow, and hand them over to the lazy tard public. There was another post on gun control, where that "billy goat" dude, whatever his name is now, made a great point about the people's oversimplified understanding about the second amendment, which is a perfect example of conservative media doing more of the same.
However, you are 100% right that liberal media sources line up a little better with the public's consensus that "tolerance is good because it's tolerant, and nice and things...because it's...good, you know?" I do think some liberal ideas do lend themselves to reasoning and logic, but that's never shopped because people just don't care WHY they should love everyone and rainbows and unicorns; they only care that if they don't, people will think they're cunts, and we can't have that, no sir.
I'm a total nihilist myself ; )
I tend to avoid political discussions. Feels like slamming your head against the wall. Such a joke : D
