A man will have the thing he fears the most. A person who fears to be alone (not asking anyone out) will eventually BE alone and a brown noser will find the scorn he tried so hard to avoid.
It's our very ability to deny our impulses, through knowledge, that makes us human. To do otherwise is to be enslaved to Self-Interest just as the animal is.
The brown noser could be brown nosing to either get a raise, promotion or just not to get fired and then he will be higher than the people in his workforce because he brown nosed for superiority or because his last place in the workforce wasn't paying enough to live on.
So your logic is that someone that fears to be alone will never ask anyone out? What a stupid and idiotic thing to say, once again your point is pointless. If someone fears being alone then they try to to get with anyone they can be with and won't hold back asking someone to be with them.
You should realize that stregth isn't the only factor of power.
Someone that brown noses their boss will usually get a positive light put on them for that and instead of people going "what a suck up" they will say "he knows how to play people to get what he wants".
