  • Exactly. If you don't think you're living in the best country in the world, why are you there? Living in the best country in the world is way more important than friends and family, way more important than a job, way more important than familiarity and security. You can replace all of those things so easily in another country, which are all so eager to let people from other countries move there permanently.

By the way, which country did you move to from 2009 to 2016? Russia?

    • I’m not an American citizen, I was born and raised in Kyoto a city in Japan for 8 years before my family decided to say goodbye and move over to America. Because I am still under 18 my parents have supervision over me, and I was forced to go along even if I didn’t want to. Even now I am not old enough to travel somewhere else on my own, on top of that my family likes America and thinks that moving elsewhere would be too expensive.

I didn’t call America ‘inferior’ I just heard other people think that America was a ‘bad country’ therefore I headed on this forum to see what others would find ‘bad’ about it.

I personally don’t like living in America because I feel unsafe in my school, encounter people saying “Are you Chinese or asian?” (Racism in general) Etc, even though I’ve lived in America for more than half my life I still feel homesick.
