A lot of this is chicken and egg, but yeah very inadequate healthcare (access to instruments and medication, as well as just not enough docs and nurses), understandably low morale, in some areas crime, and broke governments. This lady was just explaining to me that many people there want to work but there literally isn't the money there to pay them, not even from govt. Not sure if welfare type programs have a net positive but they lack programs like this, which I do think is unfortunate in the case of those who can't work due to disability or illness. However I'm unsure about brasil, but for the vast majority of people living in India it is the same story and in some cases worse
