Humanity has never had so many isolating activities, and even more dangerously, we've never had so many social substitutes for in-person, face-to-face conversations before.
What we're doing right now, with text online, is a hollow substitute for going out and speaking with somebody else. If lifeless text is your sole form of daily interaction, you're going to be lonely.
