Why have i never had a boyfriend?

Just what I gather from your post...you don't have enough self confidence...you apologized for saying you were pretty ...its alright to think you are pretty and deserve well for yourself...ask yourself...what DO I deserve...decide what your answer is, go find it, ask the guy out if you have to...oh, and get over the taken guy for now, he's taken...might as well pretend he's dead, because even if he left the other girl for you he'd leave you for someone else...it just works like that...If your still single and they break up, go for it!Good Luck! my best friend from childhood didn't have her first serious boyfriend until she was 20, and she was always a very beautiful girl. we all mature and develop at different paces and you shouldn't feel weird for not having a guy. if you're feeling that lonely you should try asking one of your gal pals to find you dates. i always notice the best relationships happen when they're introduced by mutual friends. and as far as getting hurt, it's unfortunately gonna happen, it's life. but don't be afraid to take chances.

You're so young. You'll learn that there are SO many people out there to choose from, the chances of you "finding the one" now are slim. Enjoy yourself, and add other people in when you find someone worth having. Don't settle because you're lonely.

I'm 19 and never had a real girlfriend as well. I'm kinda in the same situation. It's perfectly normal you haven't had a serious relationship yet. Try to figure out whether you're really ready for a relationship. A lot of single people forget that relationships do have their downsides. You'll probably be married for most part of your life, so enjoy the single lifestyle while you can. Otherwise, you'll regret it once you're all tied down ;)

And if you really really want a boyfriend, try not to get too serious too fast. It's the major reason why I stop dating someone.

If I were you, I'd wait for someone you KNOW is perfect for you. Once you find that perfect someone, you will be so happy that you waited.

The fact that you are waiting for someone who is going to make you feel special, is actually awesome. We all feel a little bit lonely at times but thats not bad. Relax and take your time. There is no need to rush.

I'm the reverse of your situation. I find girls my age to be self absorbed and shallow, or just plain bitchy. Perhaps I'm around the wrong people, lol

I didn't have my first love until I was 19 and it was my best friend's brother. There is nothing wrong with being picky.
