Woman are seen as objects. Woman are taught to wear longer shirts and and dress modestly because if we don't men will sexualize us. When we should be teaching men to respect woman. Woman shouldn't have to change what they wear and how they look so the man can control himself. I was told by a teacher once to wear a longer shirt because it "keeps the boys in this school holy" no I will not!!! You should teach the boys that just because a woman is wearing a short skirt doesn't mean you can just act however you want. You have to respect her body however she is presenting it. Feminism is not bad we are fighting for what we deserve. Men have been above us for thousands of years and now we're finally tired of it. How does it not focus on "real equality" we want men and woman to be equal that is the point!! Men should be allowed to have a feminine side and not afraid to show it. It shouldn't be frowned upon in society for a man to be "girly" just like it's not frowned upon for a girl to be a tom boy. Society sees being a woman as degrading. Woman are expected to stay home w the kids. Woman are expected to do all the house work cook and take care of the kids. Woman are expected to do what their husbands say!! This is not right. We are fighting for all woman and the right to dress however we want and be whatever we want!! Being a girl who is very opinionated I have been called a bitch continually by boys. When a girl is being a boss and taking control she is a bitch. But when a man does it he is just being a man and being a good boss! There are so many double standards like how a man can get away with wearing very little clothes and be called sexy and bold. But when a woman does it she "needs to have more respect for her body" and "is a slut" the double standards are unreal!!! I could go on but I think you get my point. We need feminism because everything is not equal!!! I am only 15 and have faced this quiet a lot in my life. It's easy to miss and it is just recently that I have become so involved in understating feminism. Until I saw it happening to me first hand I was ignorant like you. Maybe once you read this you will see that it's not all bs, but things in today's society that really need to be fixed.

Wtf? I think women should be exalted no matter what circumstance. All people from different cultures, places, or races should be treated with respect. Even aliens. You need to understand the difference between "equality" and "being the same" I will be the first to admit men and woman are not the same. Not physically or mentally. But that doesn't mean woman should be treated less equally. We are treated like being a woman is demeaning. That being a man means you're superior. That's not right. Men are chose to fight in wars because yes men are physically bigger and stronger than woman. It is just basic human anatomy. Our anatomy doesn't mean we are any less equal than a man it just means we are different. It would take longer for a woman to train for the military than it would a man to get the same outcome. It just a fact. Again this does not make woman "less" it just makes us different!! That is something to understand. But from the start of humanity woman are taught that to be though of as equal we have to act like a man. That it what I'm fighting against.
