Why dont he care anymore?

me and this guy has been seeing each other for about a year and 3 months, and for the first 7 months he really cared for me a lot. but threw out the time i constantly said or did things to hurt his feelings, so for the past 5 months he just seems like he is tired of me and don't care about me anymore, but for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to make things better and just wen things look like they may be trying to get better, i turn right back around and say or do something to hurt him, can constantly saying or doing things to hurt someone emotionally, make them not care for u as much? is it normal?
