Why does the top of my jeans slip below my belt when it didn't before?

Between the belt loops they are now slipping below my belt. I just guessed my jeans are a bit worn out and stretched. I am sure they never use to do that. The same jeans are on sale right now should I buy a new pair?

    Get a new pair. No point in wearing pants that not even the belt can hold up.
